The Nexus between Economic Growth and Inflation on Unemployment in Aceh Province

This study has investigated the relationship between economic growth and inflation on unemployment from 1999 to 2022, spanning 23 years, in order to understand the dynamics of unemployment in Aceh Province. Utilizing time series data and a descriptive quantitative method. A multiple linear regression analysis model (Multiple Linear Regression) based on the OLS (Ordinary Least Squares) method was used in this research. The regression analysis's findings indicate that the economic growth in Aceh Province has a positive slope; however, it is not significant. In Aceh Province, inflation has a positive and significant impact on the open unemployment rate. Therefore, this study advises policymakers to consider employment elasticity in relation to economic production that has a greater capacity to absorb young workers.
